There are many important places in the town of New Paltz, New York. After reading these articles, we recommend that you visit the places for yourself. All of the places that we have visited have an important impact on the Spanish speaking community. If you decide to visit any of these places, you will definitely be participating in the culture of New Paltz.

What makes a place important? We researched four places that we thought people should know about and could be useful for people who speak Spanish. The library could provide a source of identification in a library card. The Town Hall offers job opportunities and information about the town. When we visited the Family of New Paltz, there were bilingual signs which are very important to people who may not be fluent in English. Lastly, SUNY New Paltz is the place that is offering this course to us which made this whole journey possible. In our research we found out they offer a course called The Haggerty English Language Program (HELP) which covers reading, writing, listening, speaking, and academic prep, often featuring conversation partners, mentoring, and cultural activities for adults, including Spanish speakers, looking to improve language skills. These places are all very important to the culture and overall embodiment of our town.

Overall, the journey of learning about important places in our town was very exciting and educational. Whether it is taking a class at SUNY New Paltz, or getting your first library card, visiting one of these important places is going to be super beneficial to you in many ways.

La biblioteca podria proporcionar una fuente de identificacion en una tarjeta de biblioteca. El ayuntamiento ofrece oportunidades de trabajo y informacion para la ciudad. Cuando visitamos la Familia de Nueva Paltz, habia signos bilinguales lo cual es importante para gente que no habla inglés con fluidez. Por último, SUNY New Paltz es el lugar que hizo el viaje posible. Para investigación, nosotros encontro ellos ofrecen una curso se llama “The Haggerty English Language Program (HELP)” lo cual ayuda lectura, escritura, escuchando, hablando, preparacion academica con companeros de conversacion, mentoria, y actividades culturales para adultos incluido hablantes para espanol, busco mejorar mis habilidades linguisticas. Estos lugares son muy importantes para la cultura y la encarnación global de nuestro pueblo. 

En general, el viaje del aprendizaje a lugares importantes en la ciudad era emocionante y educacional. Ya sea tomando una clase a SUNY New Paltz, o conseguir tu primer tarjeta de biblioteca, visitar uno de estos lugares importantes va a ser beneficiosa para tu en muchas ways.
